Introducing SecurePic
In today's online environment, you need to be sure you know who you're dealing with. We want our internet banking customers to be reassured each time they log in that they are on the official Bank Independent website. You won't have to worry about being secretly redirected (pharmed) to an illegal page. And we will know that you are who you say you are before we display your account information.
Here's how it works:
Know Us - The Pictures. When you enter your user ID, we will display a picture and a pass phrase that you will choose during enrollment. If you don't see a picture or you see the wrong picture, you will know you are not on our site. If the picture and pass phrase are correct, you will know you're in the right place. At this point, you will enter your password.
Know You - Familiar Computer or Questions. You know you're in the right place now, but how do we know who you are? IDs and passwords are good, but we now have a new layer of security. During enrollment to SecurePic, you will choose to mark your PC as either personal or public. We will remember computers marked as personal and send you straight to your account information after verifying your password. When using a public computer, we will ask you a simple challenge question that you will choose during enrollment. Answer correctly and you're on your way.
