Bank Independent's ATM/Check Card can be used anywhere Visa® is accepted but the transaction is treated as if you wrote a check and there is never a fee for using your Bank Independent Check card like a credit card.

As Easy To Use As A Credit Card

For Example: When you present your CHECK card to make a purchase, the merchant will process the transaction just like a credit card. BUT UNLIKE A CREDIT CARD, the funds will be automatically deducted from your checking account when the charge is PROCESSED. JUST LIKE A CHECK.

Works Like An ATM Card

With our CHECK card, you can access your account at over 12 million ATM/POS (Point of Sale) terminals world wide that display the Visa®, Money Belt, Cirrus®, Plus or Alert® logos.

1. Why is the CHECK card better than an ATM card?
   Not only can you use your CHECK card at thousands of ATM/POS terminals, you can make purchases at any merchant that accepts Visa®. This means you can access your checking account with the ease and convenience of a credit card.

 

2. What account will my CHECK card access?
   After you use your card at a merchant or ATM/POS terminal, the funds will be transferred from your designated checking account (just as if you wrote a check).

 

3. If the business won't accept checks, will they accept my CHECK card?
   YES! If the business accepts Visa® for payment, they will accept your CHECK card.

 

4. Am I charged any interest fees for items I purchase from merchants?
   NO. There are no interest charges because, unlike a credit card, you are paying for the merchandise with your money in your checking account.

 

5. If I make a purchase with my CHECK card, will I have a record?
   YES! In addition to the merchant receipt you receive at the time of sale, your purchase will be listed on your bank statement.

 

6. Is there a fee for using my CHECK card?
   Bank Independent imposes no fees if you use your card to make a purchase or if you use your card at an ATM located at Bank Independent. You may be charged a fee if you use your CHECK card at an ATM that does not belong to Bank Independent.

Unless you have been grossly negligent or have engaged in fraud, you will not be liable for any unauthorized transactions using your lost or stolen Bank Independent Visa Check Card.
