Sheffield, Ala. – Friday, November 23, 2012 – Bank Independent is teaming up with the WAFF 48 for the second year in a row for the Joy of Sharing Toy Drive Campaign. All Bank Independent lobby locations are now exclusive drop-off destinations for collecting toys to distribute to partnered organizations in local areas during the holiday season. In 2011, Bank Independent collected over 1,500 toys for seven local organizations throughout North Alabama. This year Bank Independent will partner with local organizations in each county including the Family Resource Center, Committee on Church Cooperation, William Porter Foundation, Safeplace Shoals, Lauderdale County Christian Children’s Home, Lexington School’s Angel Tree and Franklin County Fire Department in partnership with their toy drive. “Last year’s donations made a huge difference in the communities we serve,” shares Bank Independent President Macke Mauldin. “We want to continue to find ways to make a difference in our community, and that’s why it was important to us to take part in the Joy of Sharing campaign again this year. Our drop-off locations provide a place that people know their donations are going to organizations that benefit their local community.” Bins are available for toy drop-off in all Bank Independent lobbies in Colbert, Lauderdale, Morgan, Franklin, Lawrence and Limestone County locations through Wednesday, December 19. All the toys donated will be given to local organizations according to the area.
