Mickey McClure Joins Bank Independent Team

  • Florence, Ala. – Wednesday, September 26, 2012– Bank Independent welcomes Florence native, Mickey McClure, to the Bank Independent team as Senior Vice President Sales Officer. Mickey joins the Pine Street Branch in Florence where he will assist with sales of Bank Independent’s business, personal and mortgage loans.  
    With 20 years of banking experience, Mickey had a profound impact in each banking role he fulfilled, from Alabama to Colorado. His career began in 1992 with Colonial Bank, where he served as Assistant Vice President—Branch Manager for four years before moving to Compass Bank as Vice President—Private Banking Officer. In 1999, Mickey joined Union Planters Bank as a Private Banking Manager. He went to Compass Bank in 2001 as Private Banking Senior Vice President, and relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2006 to serve the Northern Colorado market as Area President. Mickey returned to his native Florence in 2011 to accept a position with First Southern Bank as Vice President.

    Mickey is a graduate of Mars Hill Bible School, and earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of North Alabama in 1990. He currently serves as an Executive Member of the American Heart Association and as a Board Member for the American Red Cross. Mickey and his wife of 20 years, JoLynn, live in Florence with their daughters Sara, 16, Hannah, 13, and Katherine, 10.
