Grant Terms and Conditions







(“Terms and Conditions”)

  1. General. Bank Independent is providing a grant program in honor of its 75th Anniversary (“Grant Program”) and will fund grants for non-profit organizations operating within its footprint to assist in fulfilling their missions.
  2. Application period. The Grant Program application period begins on June 8, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. Central Time (CT), and ends on July 8, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. CST (the “Application Period”).  Late applications will not be accepted, and no extensions will be granted.
  3. How to apply. Applications to the Grant Program must be submitted online at www.bibank.com/grant during the Application Period. No applications will be accepted via other means of submission. Only complete applications will be considered. You will receive a confirmation acknowledging receipt of your application. If you do not receive a confirmation of your submission, please contact us at social@bibank.com.
  4. Eligibility. To be eligible for the Grant Program, applicants must be a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service, that operates within Bank Independent’s footprint in Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison and Morgan Counties in Alabama (“Applicant”). By applying, Applicant agrees to these Terms and Conditions. Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible for the Grant Program. The Committee reserves the right to request an applicant’s 501(c)(3) status letter from the Internal Revenue Service or any additional supporting documentation.
  5. Grant Submission ReviewThe Grant Selection Committee (“Committee”) will review all applications received during the Application Period for consideration. Only complete and submitted applications will be considered.
  1. Grant Amount. The amount to be awarded to the selected grant recipients will total an aggregate amount of $75,000.00, or such amount as determined by the Committee. The Committee has sole discretion on the amount and number of grants to be awarded and is not required to award the entire $75,000.00 aggregate amount.
  2. Grant Selection. Applicant will be notified by phone and/or e-mail on or before August 4th, 2022 regarding the status of its application.
  3. Terms of Grant. Applicant agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions. Applicant agrees and understands it must attend a grant ceremony in order to receive the grant. Applicant agrees that its name, logo, and likeness may be used by Bank Independent, for advertising, trade and/or publicity purposes in all media sources, without notice, review or approval. Applicant further agrees that any grant amount received will be used for the intents and purposes set out in its application. Applicant agrees and understands the Grant Committee may request documentation and receipts showing use of the grant awarded for a period of one (1) year from the date award is received.
  4. Grant Ceremony. Recipients, or its designated representative, must attend the grant ceremony that is currently scheduled to be held on August 4th, 2022 in Colbert County, Alabama (“Grant Ceremony”). The exact location and time will be announced in a formal invitation closer to time. The location and date may be subject to change. Recipient will receive a physical check for the awarded amount at the Grant Ceremony. Failure to attend the Grant Ceremony may result in Applicant being ineligible to receive the grant.
  5. Applicant agrees that if selected, it will not disclose this information until after the full list of grant recipients are announced at the Grant Ceremony that is currently scheduled for August 4th, 2022.
  6. All disputes including without limitation issues as to interpretation of these Terms and Conditions are to be resolved individually by the Bank Independent in its sole discretion.  Any unresolved claims are subject to binding arbitration in Florence, Alabama.  In the event of litigation, all claims must be filed in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama.
  7. Severability. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.  In the event of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other Grant Program materials, these Terms and Conditions shall control.
